Psalms 112:8 NLT

I made it! This is no small accomplishment, seeing how I couldn’t see how I would. My life took a dramatic turn when my father suffered complications from his heart surgery last week.

The only man who ever made me feel safe was now lying vulnerable on his hospital bed looking at me, but making no sound. I stood over him reading prayers of healing and commanding his body to be healed according to the word of the Lord. His once dull eyes, widened as I prayed, “Father in the name of Jesus…” It frightened me to see him like this, but I kept on praying, begging, pleading for our Father in Heaven to heal my father on earth. A silent tear fell down his cheek. I almost lost my composure, but I knew God had sent me with this word to speak over him so I continued praying aloud.

Before I came, the Lord had given me a vision of me standing over my father holding a piece of paper speaking healing over him. I didn’t tell anyone this! Shortly after giving me the vision, one of my sisters in Christ sent me a prayer of healing scriptures in PDF format! Provision. God is so faithful! Most importantly, He is not man that He should lie. His word will not return void. I believe God.

I went home that evening feeling very emotional, but trying my best to keep it together for my daughters. Later on, I got a phone call that my dad had passed, BUT GOD had revived him. Another chance! Wow, I immediately thanked Jehovah Rapha (God our healer) for saving my father. Satan is bound and his attacks are no match for Jesus! I have had my faith tested and God has shown Himself ruler over it all. I witnessed people from all over interceding on my father’s behalf. It fueled my energy to keep going. Keep living. Keep fighting in prayer and petition before the Lord.

I made it and my father did too!
