New ‘Gifted’ Movie Giveaway

The new movie Gifted tells the story of 7-year-old Mary, a child prodigy being raised by her uncle after her mother (also a genius) took her life when Mary was an infant. Even though Mary (McKenna Grace of Designated Survivor) is a exceptionally gifted, Uncle Frank (Chris Evans of The Fantastic Four, The Avengers) believes his sister would want Mary to have a “normal” life and enrolls her in public school. When Frank’s formidable mother learns of Mary’s incredible mathematical abilities, she foils Frank’s desires for normalcy. What’s worse, her plans threaten to separate Mary and Frank.

Also starring in Gifted are Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures, The Shack, and The Help), Lindsay Duncan (Alice Through the Looking Glass), and Jenny Slate (Parks and Recreation) as Bonnie, Mary’s teacher, a young woman whose concern for her student also turns into a connection with Uncle Frank.

Gifted is rated PG-13 and opens in limited theatres on April 7th and nationwide, April 21st.

I’m excited to offer you a Gifted giveaway, perfect for the young student in your life. This film is a story of hope and healing. I like to – from time to time – offer you fun giveaways, and book and movie reviews, and I believe this may be a great film to present to you for consideration the next time you head to the theatre.

Writing is hard stuff.  Especially when I’m sharing my personal story.  Ask me to write about branding or rebranding your business and I’m all over it.  Write something that encourages others? Absolutely!  Write a devotional or Bible study?  Sure, I’d love to give it a try!

Put my real-life, personal story out there for others to read?  That makes me feel a bit like a fish in a bowl.  My story is fraught with ups and downs, false starts, failure, and just outright hard times.  My story truly is a story of the lowly. Continue Reading
