Katrina Yoder-or Kathy as her friends and fans call her-was born and raised Amish, but left the community as a teen to follow her dreams of traveling the world. The now world-famous author returns to her roots upon receiving news of her father’s death.
Kathy’s homecoming to Mountainview isn’t a welcoming one. Her sister Miriam, her only surviving relative, is bitter towards Kathy for leaving their community and turns her away. When Kathy rekindles her friendship with childhood pal Isaac, a father and widower, problems ensue-both with the Amish community and with Kathy’s boyfriend, a popular actor.
Kathy’s visit to Mountainview proves to be difficult, but provides her with clarity and the revelation of some family secrets. Will Kathy depart to her jet-setting life of fame and world travel? Or will she follow her heart back home?
