‘Take Back Your Life’ in 40 Days

I was provided a copy of Take Back Your Life: A 40-Day Journey to Thinking Right So You Can Live Right by FrontGate Media to review. I was not otherwise compensated. All reviews and opinions are honest and my own.

“With biblical truth and perspective this step-by-step journaling process will help you:

  • Get out of your own way by learning to think right so you can live right.
  • Find purpose by discovering that God will do great things with your imperfect progress.
  • Learn that your pain is not an obstacle to being used by God but an opportunity to be used like never before.” From Take Back Your Life

Take Back Your Life is a six-week-long study that’s interactive and powerful. It breaks down by week and each week is broken down by day. For every day, there is a powerful reading of about four pages, ending with a prayer and a section called “Breathe, Think, and Live” where you are challenged to answer questions and really think.

Some examples:

Has anything given you the sense there is more going on around you?

Be honest and write down some of your bad habits. Places you don’t have self-control. Places you feel numb or run to when you don’t want to feel your feelings. Write down as many as you can think of here.

A unique aspect of this 40-day study is that it offers some really cool and helpful resources for children. The Take Back Your Life Guide for Kids is designed for children ages 8-14+ and is a 4-day devotional created to help children gain confidence and adjust their thinking so they are on track for success. It also includes lunchbox notes to print out, a worksheet, and printouts that will encourage the whole family.

You can find Take Back Your Life here and it makes a great gift and an awesome study to do as a group either in person or together online. You are also invited to enter to win a copy!

In such a time as 2020 when we’re feeling so many things are beyond our control and tines can feel so uncertain, Take Back Your Life, is so appropriate, encouraging, and empowering.

Be well,
