Welcome back to #TheocentricThursdays Blog Hop Week 6! I am blown away by the quality AND quantity of last week’s posts. You all had some Spirit and inspiration flowing before the 4th of July and it all exploded out into the #TheocentricThursdays Blog Hop. I’m all for keeping the momentum rolling, and as a result I have invited Melanie Pickett to continue as host for the entire month of July! Melanie went above and beyond her duties as co-host last month and managed not only to promote and grow the blog hop, but she promoted each of YOU on her own personal social media accounts. In case you weren’t already aware of that, please make sure you take time this week to thank her…NOT that she’s expecting it in any way, shape or form. But, since I already put the idea in your head, let me go ahead and walk on through. If I were looking for a great way to show my appreciation, I would find a way to promote HER blog. 😀
Make sure to follow ALL hosts and co-hosts blogs. Let’s meet your hosts! Melanie Pickett is a writer and blogger who is currently completing her first nonfiction book. She worked as a Medical Language Specialist for 19 years and is an occasional substitute teacher. Melanie posts on BlogHer and has been a guest writer on various other blogs. She writes regularly at the mental health blog, Defying Shadows but spends most of her time writing her own blog, Flying Blonde. A transplanted West Michigander, Melanie is a wife and mother with two teenagers who keep life busy and happy. She loves Jesus, her family, working out, reading, playing piano, 70’s-80’s TV shows, hot tea, serendipity, and traveling adventures. Melanie is a domestic abuse and sexual assault survivor and her ministry is to encourage and empower those in abusive situations, past or present, and bring awareness to this important cause.
Follow Melanie on Flying Blonde, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bloglovin’, and Google+.
Carrie Ann Tripp is a sold-out, born again Jesus freak, wife of 18 years, mother to two teenagers involved in every sport/activity under the sun, MS/HS English teacher, HS Softball Coach, Youth Group Worker, Youth/Women’s Speaker, Blogger, Writer, Avid Reader, Lover of Schedules, Volunteer of more things than healthy, and all around CRAZY kinda girl! She loves a good challenge and isn’t afraid to stand up for her beliefs or the underdog. She writes because her mental health demands it. “I heal, I hurt, I help through the written and spoken word. It is my love language.”
You can follow her blog, facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Google+, BlogLovin’, and various other places she pops up, but she’d be ecstatic if you’d start there!
Welcome Tracy from Prayer and Lemonade as this week’s #TheocentricThursdays Co-Host! We’re excited to have her join us! Co-Host Tracy Tribble is a writer and blogger who is currently working on her first nonfiction book. She currently works in the recruiting and staffing industry, and is mom to three of the most amazing kids in the world. Tracy’s blog posts appear on her website “Prayer & Lemonade”, a community where people from all walks of life can come together and be inspired to better themselves, and contribute to the betterment of others. Tracy prides herself on trying to live each day a little better than she did the day before. She started writing when she was 12 years old, and is so thankful that God loved her too much to let her ignore the call he had placed on her life. Outside of writing, Tracy enjoys chocolate, painting, comedies, pedicures, being active in her church, and chocolate (lol). She is extremely excited about how God is blessing her to use her talent, and looks forward to sharing it with the world.

This week’s featured post by a LANDSLIDE is Overcoming Fear Bible Study Series: Part 1 on Prayer & Lemonade. Fear. What a word. Can one ever truly be set free from fear? I’ve written a post or two on fear myself. I’ve sat under many a teaching on trading our fear for faith. On faith being the absence of fear. On fear not being mentioned 365 times in the Bible for a reason. Yes, the list goes on and on. But I’ve never gotten bored studying Biblical solutions to overcome fear. Have you? Want to know why? Every time I get over one fear, life changes and I’m faced with something new, something I’m unsure of, something that fills me with a new fear. It’s not that I lose my faith as much as I lose my focus. Prayer and Lemonade presents a focus verse, Isaiah 41:10, that discusses my focus problem. Maybe yours too? If you’re afraid, if you’ve ever been afraid, if you have any idea that you might be afraid again in the future, hop on over to share some Prayer and Lemonade and grab some strategies for Overcoming Fear. Don’t forget to leave her some comment love! Don’t forget to grab the button if you were featured this week!
If you’re linking up, we’d love it if you would share a button for this hop on the bottom of your post or in your sidebar!
