It’s the month of love. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and you might be thinking of how to honor your spouse or your children. I want you to think of ways to honor yourself. This month, learn how to love yourself and use these 20 ways to make yourself a priority:
- Get regular medical checkups.
- Choose healthy relationships, always.
- Use your boundaries, always.
- Pray.
- Read often.
- Treat yourself.
- Take naps.
- Let the chores go until tomorrow.
- Say “no.”
- Say “yes.”
- Take a mental health day.
- Get therapy if you feel you need it.
- Realize you’re never going to be perfect. And neither will anyone else.
- Do one thing you love every day.
- Find a true best friend.
- Exercise and eat healthy (most of the time).
- Look in the mirror and talk gently to yourself like you would when encouraging your children.
- Laugh as much as possible.
- Spend time with the people who love you most, your family.

Do something every day that will make yourself a priority, even if it’s as simple as sneaking away to your room to watch a video or listen to some music.
