Making Healthy Choices in Your Home

Disclaimer: TruEarth sent me these products in exchange for an honest review. I was not otherwise compensated. All opinions are honest and my own.

I’ve been making healthier choices in our food and lifestyle. Are you making healthy choices in your home? I’ve been implementing healthier ways to clean our clothes. Sometimes the never-ending story of laundry is a huge stressor for me. I feel like I’m constantly behind, so this is a task I’ve focused extra effort on this year.

TruEarth makes an eco-friendly laundry detergent that consists of small strips big enough to tackle a dirty load of clothes. I love that they’re sensitive-skin friendly! I need products that won’t irritate my highly sensitive skin. You can use these strips in hot or cold water and in standard or HE machines. They dissolve entirely in the wash.

The strips are free of lots of things we don’t want like parabens, phosphates, added dyes and chlorine bleach. TruEarth has none of those. They are biodegradable, hypoallergenic and vegan, and come from our neighbors to the north, Canada.

TruEarth isn’t just about the washing. It’s about the drying too. I’ve been using their wool dryer balls that naturally soften your laundry just by tossing them in the dryer with your clothes. They also help shorten drying time and save energy by absorbing moisture. They last for at least 1,000 loads!

I use two more TruEarth products that aren’t laundry-related but also help me make my home healthier. The Beeswax Snack Bags are an eco-friendly way to store your lunch. Throw your sandwiches or snacks into these lightweight bags and then apply natural warmth and pressure to seal the bags. They’re very easy to clean and are no waste. Each bag is comprised of cotton fabric, tree resin, beeswax, and jojoba oil, all non-toxic ingredients.

I love makeup. It’s creative and fun to work with. I try to use the healthiest materials I can find for my makeup and skin care so using TruEarth’s reusable bamboo makeup remover pads is perfect for me. I use them, throw them in the cotton laundry bag, and toss them in the washer with a TruEarth cleaning strip.

If you’re making healthy choices in your home, TruEarth is a great place to start. They offer these products and many more and I’ve found each one I’ve tried to be of very good quality and are what they say they are: good, clean, non-toxic ways to improve my home and our family’s lifestsyles.
